Samings is the royal chef of Inglip and is tasked with preparing the Dark Lord's breakfast, lunch and dinner. He also prepares various delicacies for royal banquets and feast days.
He was most famously tasked with acquiring milk from a terrifying creature known as the Haterfen in order to create cream for a dish called Strawberry Loopren for an upcoming feast day. After being ordered to practice for the foolhardy task, Samings managed to convince Lord Inglip otherwise by arguing that he would be unfit to work had he come into contact with the fearsome beast. Inglip then assigned Pithir the soup boy the task as punishment for vomiting into his breakfast soup.
